FAQs
How will we communicate?
Our preferred method of communication is via Matrix. Matrix is an interoperable, decentralised messaging protocol which is perfect for collaborative and asynchronous work. Think of it like Slack but with greater focus on privacy and fewer limits. When you place an order, we’ll help set you up and invite you to a joint workspace. You can also invite the rest of your team if it’s helpful and it’s completely free. We’ll use the same workspace for all future orders with you.

If your order is a short and simple one-off, or you’d otherwise prefer it, we can communicate via email instead.
How do I request an order?
For your first order, the easiest way is to reach out through the live chat, or alternatively you can fill in the contact form. We’ll discuss your requirements with you and design a bespoke order proposal which you’ll be able to review in your dashboard. Once you have accepted the proposal and submitted payment, we’ll begin working on your order.

For all subsequent orders, you can simply talk to us through our joint Matrix workspace.
Can I change my order after I’ve made it?
Yes. Contact us about any changes you wish to make. We’ll sort minor changes at no extra cost. For major changes, additions or extensions, we’ll update the order and attach a new quote to cover it.
How long do orders take to deliver?
Depends on the order. We’ll always provide a detailed timeline in the order proposal and make every effort to deliver on or before the delivery date.
How big is your team?
Actually, Quark Legal is a team of one. That means you’ll always work with me, founder of Quark Legal.
Are you legally qualified?
I have completed an English Law LLB with honours, which is a Qualifying Law Degree recognised by the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority. As I have not completed the vocational component of training, I am neither a solicitor nor barrister and am therefore not regulated by the SRA or BSB.
Are there any legal services you don’t cover?
Certainly. Primarily, we cannot represent you in court. If we’re not able to help for any reason, we’ll be sure to let you know.
